MasterLube Car Care
Did you know that engine oil is the lifeblood of your vehicle?

What does engine oil protect? Engine oil shields and supports your engine by lubricating moving parts, reducing heat and friction, and collecting dust, metal particles, condensation and other contaminants that can cause wear. Collected contaminants are removed during your next oil change.

How often should you change your oil and filter? Follow the schedule in your owner’s manual, but as a general rule, changing your oil every 3 – 5,000 miles or 3 months is a safe habit. If you drive short distances, sit in traffic often, tow, or drive in dusty or cold conditions, sticking to that schedule is even more important.

What weight oil is right for your car? Always use the oil grade and specification listed in your owner’s manual. For example, 10W-30 oil flows easily in cold weather and provides strong protection at higher temperatures.

Responsibly recycling used oil. Just one quart of used oil can pollute up to 250,000 gallons of groundwater. Never pour used oil down a drain or onto the ground! Store used oil in a clean, sealed container clearly labeled “Used Oil,” and bring it to a facility that accepts oil for recycling.

MasterLube Environmental Care

Every MasterLube location gladly accepts used oil from do-it-yourselfers – helping keep our community and environment clean.

Save Time. Save Money.

Tips for diesel vehicle owners

What is Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)? DEF is an additive that reduces harmful nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel engines.

How DEF works: As exhaust leaves the engine, DEF is injected into the system and passes through a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst. This process converts harmful pollutants into harmless nitrogen and water – helping keep the air we breathe cleaner.

DEF Maintenance Tip: DEF is used in small amounts and typically lasts for several fill-ups, but it’s important to keep the tank topped off. Running out can trigger a “limp mode” in your diesel engine, reducing speed and power until the tank is refilled.

MasterLube Car Care
Did you know that detailing your car can help preserve its value, protect your vehicle from long term damage, and improves the driving experience?

The MasterLube Hand Car Wash Experience

Your car deserves more than a quick spin through an automated wash. Our team treats every vehicle with the same care we’d give our own.

We start inside – removing and washing your floor mats, vacuuming every surface, wiping down the dash, doors, and console, and polishing the interior windows until they shine.

Then we move to the wash bay, where your car gets a complete rinse, including the wheel wells. We use a special bug sponge on the front, followed by a gentle hand wash that’s easier on your paint than any machine wash. After a soft towel dry, we double-check windows inside and out, buff the wheels and door jambs, and finish with a hand-applied wax or professional sealant for lasting protection and shine.

If you’ve picked up a rock chip along the way, we can take care of that too — quick, clean windshield chip repair while you’re here.

Because your car should leave looking cared for, not just clean.

A good way to take care of your car.
